Interestingly, a few days ago I started the system and two Keepassx icons appeared in the system tray along with the usual login screen. If I right click on the url in the database and select "autotype" it will enter the correct login name and password. However, when I open a webpage login page, the hotkey will not work (I have checked the syntax of all the autotype commands). At that point, I have an icon in the system tray that will open the database. The only way to start Keepassx is to open the login screen from the system menu, then login. Now, during system startup, the Keepassx icon does not appear in the system tray, The Keepassx login screen does appear, However, after I login, there still is no icon available. Once opened with the login page, I could hit the hot keys and autotype would log me in. Then, I could click on the url in one of the database items to open the url. After login, the system tray icon could be clicked and my database would open. Normally, the Keepassx icon would appear in the system tray and the login window would appear. As always, it is set in my system (PCLinuxOS) to start automatically on system startup. Recently, something has happened to cause it to not start up properly. When I first started using it, it worked exactly as it was supposed to including opening the login window on start-up and auto-type after entering the hot keys. I like this older version because it opens directly into the internet database which is the one I use. I have been using Keepassx ver 0.4.4 for a year or more.
